Amends Section 43-12-33 of Mississippi Code to allow the Department of Human Services to establish or use a simplified reporting system under 7 CFR Section 273.12(a)(5), changing the previous prohibition on such systems.

Requires the Department of Human Services to submit a written report to legislative committees detailing the costs and state and federal savings of using a simplified reporting system in place of a change reporting system.

Report must be provided to the Chairmen of House and Senate Appropriations Committees, House Public Health and Human Services Committee, Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee, and House and Senate Medicaid Committees, with copies available to other legislators upon request.

Takes effect July 1, 2021 and automatically repeals on June 30, 2021.
