Delays implementation of teacher licensure entrance requirements from July 1, 2020 to July 1, 2021 for both Standard License - Approved Program Route and Standard License - Nontraditional Teaching Route

Requires teacher candidates entering approved education programs or alternate route programs to meet one of three criteria: composite ACT score of 21 (or SAT equivalent), passing score on Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators examination, or minimum 3.0 GPA on coursework prior to admission

Changes the ACT requirement language from "an ACT Score" to "Composite ACT Score" throughout the statute to clarify that the composite score is the relevant measure

Applies the same entrance requirements to the Teach Mississippi Institute (TMI) nontraditional teaching program for those seeking to teach grades 7-12

Takes effect July 1, 2021
