Removes the $10,000 maximum limit on annual salary supplements that county boards of supervisors may pay to sheriffs, allowing supplements of any amount at the board's discretion.

Maintains existing base salary structure for sheriffs based on county population, ranging from $75,000 for counties with populations of 15,000 or less to $99,000 for counties exceeding 100,000.

Preserves special supplement provisions for specific counties: Hinds County ($15,000), Neshoba County ($10,000 mandatory), and discretionary supplements up to $10,000 for Leflore, Rankin, Tunica, Wilkinson, Marshall, and Greene counties.

Requires supplements to be recorded in the board of supervisors' minutes and specifies they cannot be in addition to the county-specific supplements listed in subsections (2) through (9).

Takes effect July 1, 2021.
