MS SB2880

Changes the Caledonia Natural Gas District board of commissioners from five (5) district residents to five (5) natural gas users of the district.

Maintains the terms and election procedures established in prior law, with commissioners elected annually to three (3) year terms following the initial election.

Allows existing board members' terms to continue uninterrupted until their scheduled expiration dates under the new membership requirement.

Preserves all powers of the district including authority to construct and operate a natural gas transmission and distribution system, exercise eminent domain, and issue up to $10,000,000 in revenue bonds.

Existing provisions for commissioner compensation, per diem, travel expenses, and health insurance coverage remain in effect.
