Affected counties and municipalities are encouraged to provide military installation commanders with information about proposed changes to comprehensive plans, zoning regulations, and development applications that could affect adjacent or nearby military lands.

Military installation commanders may provide advisory comments on proposed developments based on Air Installation Compatible Use Zone (AICUZ) standards, environmental noise management programs, Joint Land Use Studies, and potential impacts to military missions.

Counties and municipalities are encouraged to consider military commanders' comments regarding strategic mission, public safety, and economic vitality while respecting private property rights and avoiding undue restrictions on development.
