Commends Colonel (Ret) Gregory S. Michel upon his retirement as Executive Director of the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), where he served since June 2016

Michel led Mississippi's response to 21 federally declared disasters, with 11 occurring in 2020 alone, including the COVID-19 pandemic, record-breaking tornadoes, the most active hurricane season in history, and historic Delta flooding

Michel previously served nearly three decades in the Mississippi National Guard before being appointed MEMA Director by Governor Phil Bryant and later reappointed by Governor Tate Reeves on December 19, 2019

Resolution directs that a copy be presented to Gregory Michel, forwarded to Governor Tate Reeves and MEMA, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps
