Olivier is believed to be the first player born in Mississippi to play in the NHL; his father Simon was playing for the Mississippi Sea Wolves (ECHL) when Mathieu was born in Biloxi

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound forward went undrafted but earned a contract with Nashville after impressing at Rookie Camp in 2018 and performing well with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL), where he posted 10 goals and 95 penalty minutes in 56 games

Directs that the resolution be presented to Mathieu Olivier and his family, forwarded to the Nashville Predators corporate office and the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame
