Recognizes Troop 8 as the oldest continuously chartered troop in Mississippi by the same organization and among the oldest in the nation

Notes the troop has awarded over 660 Eagle Scouts since 1923 and currently has over 100 Scouts on its roster spanning four generations

Highlights the troop's achievements including Gold Level Journey to Excellence Award and being the only unit nationally to earn the Association of Baptists in Scouting Unit Award of Excellence three consecutive years

Directs the resolution be presented to Troop 8 and forwarded to the Board of Elders of First Baptist Jackson
