Expands Medicaid eligibility to individuals aged 19-64 whose income does not exceed 138% of the federal poverty level, contingent on approval of a waiver by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Covered individuals must satisfy criteria of an approved CMS waiver and receive specific benefits including care coordination services through a provider-sponsored health plan as defined by Mississippi law.

Federal funding covers at least 90% of medical assistance costs, with the remaining funds contributed by individuals and through hospital taxes.

The Division of Medicaid must apply for any necessary waivers from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to implement this provision.

The act takes effect July 1, 2022.
