Amends Section 67-3-9 of the Mississippi Code to allow any municipality to hold an election to permit or prohibit the sale of beer, light wine, and light spirit products.

Removes previous population and geographic restrictions that limited which cities and towns could hold such elections.

Requires a petition signed by 20% of qualified voters or 1,500 voters (whichever is fewer) to trigger an election to permit sales, or 20% of qualified voters to trigger an election to prohibit sales.

Prohibits any municipality from holding more than one election on this question within a five-year period.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
