Amends Section 99-37-3 of Mississippi Code to require that court-ordered restitution to crime victims must be paid in full before any court costs and fines are disbursed to the court

Applies specifically to justice courts, county courts, and municipal courts when restitution is ordered

Maintains existing provisions allowing courts to order complete, partial, or nominal restitution based on defendant's financial resources and ability to pay

Justice courts remain limited to ordering restitution not exceeding $5,000

Effective date: July 1, 2022
