MS HB1186

Amends Mississippi Code Section 83-11-101 to prohibit insurance policies covering political subdivisions from paying for any element of loss if the individual is entitled to receive payment for the same loss through another insurance policy purchased by the same political subdivision.

Applies the prohibition to both bodily injury and property damage uninsured motorist coverage when the other insurance policy has fully compensated or will fully compensate the individual for that element of loss.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
