Authorizes state agency appointing authorities to allow employee telework during Governor-declared emergencies, when employees have medical conditions requiring protection from exposure, when employees must care for someone under a Department of Health quarantine order, or when inclement weather makes commuting dangerous

Requires appointing authorities implementing telework to consult with the Mississippi State Personnel Board, establish procedures to protect privileged or confidential information, and ensure some staff remain in offices for direct public contact

Mandates teleworking employees sign agreements specifying work schedules, supervisory oversight through regular review of work products, protocols for protecting confidential information on agency devices, and accessibility to co-workers and clients

Defines "telework" as a work flexibility arrangement where employees perform duties from an approved worksite other than their normal work location

Effective date of July 1, 2022
