Amends Section 11-1-1 of the Mississippi Code to expand the list of officials authorized to administer oaths and certify affidavits

Adds chiefs of police and sheriffs to the existing list of oath-administering officials, which includes judges, clerks of court, court reporters, board of supervisors members, justice court judges, notary publics, and mayors

Authorized oaths may be administered for court proceedings, depositions, perpetuation of testimony, or any purpose required under Mississippi law

Effective date: July 1, 2022
