• Requires all individual and group health insurance policies, contracts, and managed care entities in Mississippi to provide coverage for gastric pacemakers and related services effective July 1, 2022.

• Defines "gastric pacemaker" as a medical device using electrical stimulation to treat gastroparesis, a neuromuscular stomach disorder that prevents normal food emptying.

• Allows insurers to impose prior authorization requirements and standard copayments, deductibles, or coinsurance amounts for gastric pacemakers consistent with coverage of other medical devices.

• Amends Section 25-15-9 of the Mississippi Code to require the State Health Plan to provide coverage for gastric pacemakers on the same terms as other covered benefits.
