Prohibits discharging a firearm or weapon within 1,500 feet of a building or within 1,000 feet of property comprising schools, churches, public parks, ballparks, public gymnasiums, youth centers, or movie theaters

Violation is a misdemeanor punishable by a $500 fine

Amends county firearm discharge regulations to incorporate the new restrictions, preventing counties from allowing firearm discharge that would violate the new protected zone requirements

Brings forward existing law (Section 97-15-13) regarding firearm discharge on streets, roads, highways, and railroads, which carries penalties of $100-$500 fines and/or 60 days to 6 months imprisonment
