Grants leave of absence without loss of pay, rank, time, annual leave, or efficiency rating to active members of the Mississippi Wing of the Civil Air Patrol who participate in emergency relief efforts during catastrophic events.

Applies to officers and employees of state agencies, political subdivisions, and public or private businesses and industries.

Requires employees to reapply for their original position within 90 days after being relieved from emergency duty, and guarantees restoration to their former position or equivalent role if still qualified.

Prohibits discharge from the restored position without cause for one year after restoration, regardless of administrative changes or employment limitations.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
