Increases annual salaries for county sheriffs based on population tiers, ranging from $80,000 (counties with 12,500 or fewer residents) to $104,000 (counties with over 100,000 residents).

Authorizes boards of supervisors in any county with a juvenile detention center to pay an additional annual supplement of up to $5,000 to the sheriff.

Increases per diem for county election commissioners from $100 to $110 per day for non-election duties and from $150 to $165 per day for election day duties.

Maintains existing provisions allowing supplemental sheriff compensation in specified counties (Leflore, Rankin, Neshoba, Tunica, Hinds, Wilkinson, Marshall, and Greene) and authorizes discretionary supplements up to $10,000 in any other county.

Takes effect October 1, 2022.
