Students in public schools may engage in political activities or philosophical expression before, during and after the school day with equal treatment as nonpolitical activities.

Students may organize partisan or nonpartisan political groups, clubs, rallies, and politically themed gatherings before, during and after school with the same permissions as other noncurricular student activities.

Public schools with limited open forums must provide equal access and fair opportunities to student political meetings without discrimination based on political, philosophical, or ideological content.

Schools retain authority to maintain order and discipline, protect student and faculty well-being, and ensure attendance at political meetings is voluntary.
