Lawyers from other states who establish Mississippi residency for 12 consecutive months and have practiced law for at least 5 years in good standing shall be admitted to practice in Mississippi without taking the bar examination

Removes the previous requirement that the applicant's home state must have equivalent bar admission requirements to Mississippi

Eliminates the reciprocity requirement that the applicant's home state grant similar privileges to Mississippi attorneys

Applicants must still provide evidence of good standing and active status from their original state, including certificates from the highest appellate court clerk and two bar members attesting to qualifications and moral character

Effective date of July 1, 2022
