Appropriates $750,000 from the State General Fund to the Union Church Water Association for fiscal year 2023 (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023)

Funds designated for water system improvements including removal of organic material from well water, distribution system upgrades, service pumps, well motors, and related equipment in Jefferson County

Improvements intended to protect health, safety, and welfare of residents and meet Mississippi State Department of Health compliance requirements

Funds must comply with federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) requirements and will be disbursed from the Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund

Association must certify compliance with U.S. Treasury guidelines and may be required to repay funds to the state if federal inspectors determine improper expenditure
