Extends the repeal date of the City of Starkville's 2% Economic Development, Tourism and Convention Tax from June 30, 2022 to June 30, 2026

The tax is levied on gross income from restaurants selling prepared food and beverages within Starkville city limits

Tax proceeds are distributed as follows: 40% to Starkville parks, 20% to Mississippi State University for student activities, 15% to Oktibbeha County Economic Development Authority, 15% to Visitors and Convention Council, and 10% retained by the city for economic development

The Mississippi Department of Revenue collects the tax and retains 3% for administrative costs before distributing funds to the city

All entities receiving funds must submit detailed annual budgets for city approval and undergo independent audits
