Amends Mississippi Code Section 27-19-18 to revise the alternative highway privilege tax for trailers and semitrailers to apply to all trailers and semitrailers except rental trailers with a gross vehicle weight rating of less than 10,001 pounds.

Removes the requirement that trailers and semitrailers must "travel in interstate commerce" to be subject to the $65.00 highway privilege tax.

License tags issued for the tax are valid for the duration of the owner's interest in the vehicle and do not require renewal.

Tags must be attached conspicuously on the rear of each trailer below the rear light and be visible at night from 60 feet away.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
