Increases the maximum width of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) from 50 inches to 55 inches while maintaining the 1,000-pound weight limit and requirement for 3 or more non-highway tires.

Increases the maximum width of recreational off-highway vehicles (ROHVs) from 65 inches to 75 inches and increases the maximum unladen dry weight from 2,000 pounds to 3,500 pounds while maintaining the 4 or more non-highway tires requirement.

Maintains existing requirements that operators under 16 years old wear DOT-approved crash helmets and that all operators possess either a valid driver's license or an off-road vehicle safety course certificate.

Clarifies that off-road vehicles cannot be operated on public roads or highways in Mississippi, despite meeting the revised safety requirements.

Effective date is July 1, 2022.
