Appropriates $3,200,000 to the Department of Finance and Administration for distribution to the Thomasville Water Association for water system improvements in fiscal year 2023

Funds are sourced from the Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund established by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021

Requires the Department of Finance and Administration to verify that expenditures comply with federal ARPA guidelines and that recipients have not received reimbursement from other sources for the same expenses

Mandates that if federal inspectors determine funds were used improperly and Mississippi must repay the federal government, the recipient that misused funds must reimburse the state

Takes effect July 1, 2022
