Authorizes the City of Hernando, Mississippi to levy an additional sales tax of up to 2% on gross proceeds from restaurant sales, including food trucks, cafeterias, convenience stores, and similar establishments selling prepared food

Tax revenue must be used exclusively to promote parks and recreation within the city and kept in a separate fund from general revenues, with annual independent audits required

Requires voter approval through an election where at least 60% of qualified electors must vote in favor before the tax can be imposed

Mississippi Department of Revenue will collect the tax using existing sales tax procedures and retain 3% for administrative costs before remitting proceeds to the city by the 15th of each month

The act automatically repeals on July 1, 2026, and continuation of the tax beyond that date requires another public election with the same approval requirements
