Modifies optometrist prescriptive authority for controlled substances to align with Section 73-19-157 rather than specifying Schedule IV or V oral analgesics.

Exempts actions lawful under the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Act from the controlled substances prescription requirements of Section 41-29-137.

Establishes that prescriptions based solely on online questionnaires are not valid, while preserving telemedicine prescribing authorized by state or federal law.
