Requires all campaign finance statements, reports of contributions and expenditures, and related reports to be filed electronically with the Secretary of State by candidates for state, district, and legislative offices, and political committees.

Centralizes filing for county and municipal candidates and political committees directly to the Secretary of State rather than local circuit clerks or municipal clerks.

Mandates the Secretary of State make all campaign finance reports available for public inspection online within 48 hours of receipt.

Extends the record retention period for campaign finance reports from three (3) years to five (5) years.

Effective date: January 1, 2023.
