Requires all individual and group health insurance policies, HMO contracts, and managed care entities issued or renewed on or after July 1, 2022, to provide coverage for annual pap smears and biennial bone density tests for Mississippi residents.

Prohibits insurers from charging higher deductibles or coinsurance for these screenings than for similar benefits, and requires reimbursement to providers equal to or greater than Medicare rates.

Allows plans to refer patients to nonparticipating providers only if no appropriate participating provider is available, with no additional cost to the patient beyond what they would pay for in-network care.

Amends the State and School Employees Health Insurance Plan (Miss. Code § 25-15-9) to include mandatory coverage for annual pap smears and biennial bone density tests.

Effective date: July 1, 2022.
