Authorizes municipalities to secure abandoned or dilapidated buildings as part of cleanup procedures for properties adjudicated as menaces to public health, safety, and welfare.

Permits municipalities to reenter properties up to six times per 12-month period to remove or secure abandoned or dilapidated buildings without additional hearings, provided proper notice is posted.

Applies to both standard hearings under subsection (1) and expedited determinations by municipal employees under subsection (2) for properties one acre or less with cleaning costs not exceeding $250.

Extends procedures to perpetual care cemeteries determined to be improperly maintained, with authority for the Secretary of State to direct release of trust fund interest or up to 15% of principal to reimburse cleanup costs.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
