House Bill 662 Summary

• Amends Mississippi Code Section 41-29-115 to add tianeptine and its salts, sulfates, free acids, and substantially chemically equivalent preparations to the Schedule II list of controlled substances.

• Brings forward Section 41-29-113 (Schedule I controlled substances) for purposes of amendment, establishing comprehensive lists of Schedule I opiates, opium derivatives, hallucinogenic substances, depressants, and stimulants.

• Effective date: July 1, 2022.
