Creates a new "Veterans Resource Advisor" certification category for individuals who cannot meet the required work hours for full county veteran service officer accreditation under federal regulations (38 CFR Section 14.629)

Veterans Resource Advisors will be certified by the Mississippi State Veterans Affairs Board and entitled to receive compensation for their services as authorized by law

Maintains existing requirements for county veteran service officers including annual training, written examinations, federal accreditation, and compliance with board rules and regulations

Allows county boards of supervisors to continue employing veteran service officers full-time or part-time and requires counties to provide office space and communications connectivity

Effective date of July 1, 2022
