HB 763 - Medicaid Dental Services Carve-Out

• From October 1, 2022, the Mississippi Division of Medicaid shall establish and implement a separate managed care program or coordinated care program exclusively for dental services and dental services providers.

• After implementation of the separate dental program, dental services and dental services providers shall no longer be included in any other managed care or coordinated care program administered by the Division of Medicaid.

• The bill replaces previous legislative intent language regarding evaluation of a single vendor for dental benefits with a mandate to create an independent dental services program.

• Section 2 establishes an effective date of July 1, 2022.
