House Bill 83 Summary

• Changes durable medical equipment (DME) reimbursement calculation to the lesser of the provider's usual and customary charge or a fee from a statewide uniform fee schedule updated January 1 annually.

• Establishes the statewide uniform fee schedule using 100% of the Medicare Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies (DMEPOS) Rural Fee Schedule in effect on January 1 of each year.

• Applies to all new DME purchases effective for services provided on or after January 1 following each annual fee schedule update.

• Effective July 1, 2022.
