Requires all deputy sheriffs to complete 16 hours of annual continuing education courses in law enforcement, including implicit bias, human and cultural relations, juvenile brain development and reasoning, and conflict resolution.

Requires all municipal police officers to complete 16 hours of annual continuing education courses covering the same four topics (implicit bias, human and cultural relations, juvenile brain development and reasoning, and conflict resolution), in addition to existing training hour requirements.

Permits courses to be provided by accredited law enforcement academies or the Mississippi Sheriffs' Association and Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police, subject to approval by the Mississippi Board on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Training.

Requires the Mississippi Board on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Training to reimburse counties and municipalities for expenses incurred by sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, and police officers attending approved training programs.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
