Removes embezzlement from the list of felonies ineligible for expungement under Mississippi Code Section 99-19-71.

Allows individuals convicted of embezzlement to petition for expungement five years after successful completion of their sentence, provided they have paid all fines and court costs.

Maintains all other felony expungement restrictions, including crimes of violence, trafficking in controlled substances, sex offender registration failures, and other specified offenses.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
