Amends Section 73-60-27, Mississippi Code of 1972, to allow licensed home inspectors to perform inspection services on new construction for a fee without obtaining a residential home builders license from the Mississippi Board of Contractors.

Eliminates the requirement for home inspectors to obtain certification from the Southern Building Code Congress or other national professional code organizations to perform new construction inspections.

Maintains existing penalties for unlicensed home inspector activity: up to $1,000 for first offense and up to $5,000 for subsequent offenses.

Preserves the prohibition on licensed home inspectors performing repairs on residential buildings as part of or resulting from home inspections.

Effective date: July 1, 2022.
