Amends Mississippi Code Section 37-41-27 to authorize local school boards to permit use of motor vehicles other than school buses for transporting students to school-related functions and activities.

Allows use of passenger cars, multipurpose vehicles, or trucks designed to transport fewer than 16 students that do not require a commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement.

Requires students to use designated seating positions and manufacturer-provided occupant crash protection systems unless physically unable to do so.

Prohibits students from driving authorized vehicles on public roads; students may only drive on school or private property as part of educational curriculum with no other students in vehicle.

Requires drivers to maintain valid driver's license and comply with school district's locally adopted safe driver plan, and mandates school boards adopt policies addressing procedures, liability, and requiring use of school buses whenever practical.

Effective July 1, 2022.
