Authorizes the Mississippi Department of Corrections to create the Inmate Incentive to Work Program, providing payment to eligible inmates housed in state correctional facilities for work performed across jobs requiring varying skill levels

Creates the "Inmate Incentive to Work Program Fund" to be maintained in a bank selected by the Commissioner of Corrections, with monthly reporting requirements to the State Treasurer

Funds the new program through a portion of the existing Inmate Welfare Fund, with deposits not to exceed $1,000,000 in the Inmate Incentive to Work Program Fund

Inmates who are unable to work or in cell confinement are ineligible to participate in the program

Effective date of July 1, 2022
