Brings forward 13 sections of Mississippi Medicaid law (Sections 43-13-103 through 43-13-145) for purposes of possible amendment during the 2022 Regular Session

Maintains the existing structure of the Division of Medicaid in the Office of the Governor, including the appointment of an executive director by the Governor with Senate consent

Preserves current provisions for Medicaid services including inpatient/outpatient hospital services, nursing facility services, prescription drugs, mental health services, and home- and community-based services for elderly and disabled individuals

Continues assessments on nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, psychiatric residential treatment facilities, and hospitals to fund the state's share of Medicaid payments

Sets an effective date of July 1, 2022, with key sections (43-13-117 and 43-13-145) scheduled to stand repealed on July 1, 2024
