Mourns the passing of Mr. Carroll V. Hood of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, who died on October 11, 2021, at age 85

Honors his nine years of military service in the Air National Guard and Army National Guard

Recognizes his extensive business career as President of Hood Petroleum Company, Copiah Oil Company, and HICO, Inc., with additional ventures in LP Gas, trucking, wholesale tire and appliance, and cattle businesses

Commemorates his community leadership including serving as Chairman of the Mississippi State Oil and Gas Board, Commissioner of the Mississippi Employment Security Commission, and President of the Board of Trustees of Copiah County Medical Center where he helped build the new Hazlehurst hospital

Notes he and his wife Elizabeth received the Hazlehurst Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008 after over 65 years of marriage
