Mourns the death of former Mississippi House Representative Michael Weston Janus from Harrison County's District 117, who passed away on February 15, 2022, after serving 14 consecutive years in the legislature.

Commemorates Janus's career including his service in the House (1996-2009), unsuccessful 2009 mayoral campaign in Biloxi, subsequent role as City Manager of D'Iberville, and Chief of Staff position with Congressman Steven Palazzo.

Recognizes Janus's extensive civic involvement with organizations including the Boy Scouts of America, Boys and Girls Club, Leadership Gulf Coast, and the Biloxi Bay Chamber of Commerce, as well as his co-founding of the Republican Caucus.

Acknowledges his family including his wife Nathalie, daughters Hannah and Sarah, and surviving siblings and extended family members.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to the Janus family and Capitol Press Corps.
