Commends Robinson-Watson Book Company and its founders Reverend Shirley Watson Harrington and Ms. Carol Robinson for 29 years of promoting entrepreneurship and economic development in Mississippi.

Robinson-Watson Book Company has honored more than 800 entrepreneurs at annual honors banquets and inspired countless young people to pursue business ownership.

Founders co-created the first Minority Business Phone Directory of Jackson and Hinds County to assist minority businesses in networking, which continues to be printed with over 1,000 names, businesses, historical sites and churches.

Ms. Robinson, a Jackson State University graduate in guidance counseling, has worked as an academic counselor at Hinds Community College and developed community resources for families and returning students.

Reverend Harrington was the first African American to graduate from Provine High School, first African American hired at Mississippi's National Weather Service, and first female associate pastor in the 140-year history of Cade Chapel Baptist Church.
