Commends the City of Jackson, Mississippi's capital, on the occasion of its bicentennial celebration in 2022

Recognizes November 28, 1821, as the date the State Legislature selected LeFleur's Bluff as the seat of government, followed by formal city planning in April 1822 and the first legislative session on December 23, 1822

Acknowledges the bicentennial celebration period running from November 29, 2021, through December 31, 2022, organized by Jackson's Cultural Services Division and Visit Jackson

Supports the inclusive and diverse bicentennial platform celebrating Jackson's people, community, businesses, and events while highlighting the city's history, present identity, and future direction

Directs copies of the resolution be provided to the City of Jackson and members of the Capitol Press Corps
