Commends the Meridian High School Lady Wildcats Basketball Team for winning their first state championship in program history on March 5, 2022, defeating Harrison Central 49-43 in the Class 6A final at the Mississippi Coliseum.

Recognizes Head Coach Deneshia Faulkner for leading the Lady Wildcats to three consecutive state semifinal appearances and the championship victory.

Acknowledges standout performances by senior Debreasha Powe (22 points and 10 rebounds) and senior Charity Hinton (13 points and 2 rebounds) in the championship game.

Lists the complete 2021-2022 championship roster of 20 players and coaching staff including Head Coach Deneshia Faulkner and Associate Head Coaches Darrin Mitchell, E'Trareo Warren, and Londyn Thomas.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Head Coach Faulkner, Meridian Principal Dr. Angela McQuarley, the Meridian School Board, and the Capitol Press Corps.
