Acknowledges her civic contributions through service on multiple boards including McComb Library Board, Railroad Museum Board, Pike County Chamber of Commerce, and establishment of Pike County's Black History Gallery as a nonprofit organization.

Notes her numerous awards and honors including NAACP's C.C. Bryant Lifetime Achievement Award, Pike County Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award, and Delta Kappa Gamma's Red Rose Award.
