Commends Judge Denise Owens for 33 years of exemplary service as Hinds County District 3 Chancery Judge and Senior Chancellor for Hinds County Chancery Court.

Recognizes her leadership roles in the Conference of Chancery Judges since 1996, including serving as secretary, vice chair, program chairperson, and Conference Chair for two years.

Acknowledges her extensive work in legal education and diversity initiatives, including teaching at Tougaloo College and Hinds Community College, sponsoring law camps for young women, and serving on the Council of Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO).

Highlights her service on multiple State Supreme Court task forces and commissions, including the Access to Justice Commission (co-chair for 10 years), Gender Fairness Task Force, and Race and Ethics Bias Task Force.
