Honors Dr. Elton Mac Huddleston, Jr., as the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient by the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association

Dr. Huddleston served as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam before earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 1972

Practiced veterinary medicine in Pontotoc, Ecru, and Amory, Mississippi, and served as an instructor at Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine

Served as president of both the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association and the Mississippi Board of Veterinary Medicine, and was executive secretary of both boards simultaneously

Has represented House District 15 (Pontotoc County) since 2008, serving on committees including Agriculture, Appropriations, Education, and as Chairman of Universities and Colleges and Ethics
