Mourns the loss of Zeb Andrews Hughes (age 21, of Wesson) and Jameson Med Gunner Palmer (age 16, of Hazlehurst), who died on December 3, 2020, in a boating incident

Honors Hughes as a graduate of Wesson Attendance Center who attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College, East Mississippi Community College, and Mississippi State University, and was a member of the Lincoln County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited

Honors Palmer as a member of Wounded Warrior Veteran hunts, the National Wild Turkey Federation, and Bethel Baptist Church in Hazlehurst

Encourages Mississippi residents to observe National Safe Boating Week during May 21-27, 2022, and follow safety recommendations including taking boating safety courses, wearing life jackets, using engine cut-off devices, and never boating under the influence

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to the families of both young men and to the Capitol Press Corps
