Adds definition of "companion animal" to the Protection from Domestic Abuse Act, defined as any animal kept inside a residential dwelling and any dog or cat regardless of location, but excluding livestock and wild animals; companion animals are classified as personal property.

Authorizes courts to include provisions protecting companion animals in final domestic abuse protection orders issued by chancery or county courts.

Adds "harming" to the list of prohibited actions regarding property in temporary protection orders issued by municipal and justice courts.

Expands final protection order relief to allow courts to grant possession of personal property to petitioners and to direct respondents to refrain from abusing companion animals.

Effective July 1, 2022.
